The year 2017 had been one of the best years for the Indian Cricket. The mighty Indian team successfully defeated England, West Indies, Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka (twice) in bilateral series and came up as runners-up in the Champions Trophy in the same year. The Indian pacer has been improving since his debut and also picked the purple cap in last year’s IPL. Kumar had all the opposition troubled with his variations. He can seam, produce off-cutters, slowers, and swing in both ways. He was handy in batting too and scored an unbeaten 53 in a match-winning 100 run stands with M.S Dhoni against Sri Lanka.
In the bowling section, he added 28 wickets at an average of 33 while giving just 5 runs per over. He picked up a 5-wicket haul once. His best figure of the year was 5-42.

The opener in the team had his ups and downs last year but whenever he picked up momentum, he was unbeatable. He scored 1292 runs in 21 innings with a strike rate of 99.4 at an average of 71.8 which included 6 centuries and 5 fifties. He scored 208 runs against Sri Lanka which was his best score and third double century overall (also a record).

This player has been in the news and limelight for his slingy and unusual bowling and his ability to grab wickets so easily. In 2017, Bumrah took 39 wickets at an average of 26 with an economy of impressive 5.14. He had two 4 wicket hauls with a best of 5 for 27. He can also be considered as a revelation of 2017.

You might have guessed it already. There was no one better than Kohli last year. With extraordinary consistency and the ability to survive in the most tensed situation, his grit and self-belief have played an immense role in his success. He is often touted as the modern Tendulkar. The captain of Men In Blue ably handled the team very well and still scored runs without any apparent issues.
